My Z speaker gave up so I pulled a Q out of the drawer. Looking for a full touch again, these eyes are not 20 nor is the sight)
Testing a MS Win10 phone right now, will likely get another Z. I find the Win phone (along with iphone and Android) archaic for the way I use them as email workhorses, but I am hoping it syncs better with my windows laptop/tablet.
Sent while driving from my Crackberry.
Windows Phone...
I have had a Lumia 950 for a couple of weeks now and believe me Windows 10 doesn't hold a candle to BB10 on my Passport. I am (so far) mightily disappointed in the Lumia. It doesn't download like BB10, it's slower than molasses compared to BB10. What I am doing currently is using both devices because BB10 is just so much better. Why it's not being used by more people is beyond me. I am persevering with my Lumia 950 because I understand that Windows 10 is still a work in progress but currently it just doesn't come close to BB10.
Oh and the windows apps are REALLY expensive too!

Q10
I've been using BlackBerrys for work ever since notifications were canon balls being fired over the bow of the other boat.
For personal use I went from flip phone to Curve 8330, Bold 9650, Style 9670, Bold 9930, to the mighty Qued (Q10).
I'm on Sprint and was eagerly awaiting the Priv, But alas...
There is no joy in Sprintville, Mighty Priv has just struck out.
I need to keep my service with Sprint because of my unlimited data family plan.
I went Galaxy S7 Edge with Nova Launcher and BlackBerry apps. I pretend it's a Priv and just don't try to slide out the keyboard! So now I'm livin' on the Edge!

Chronos is by far the best calender app on WinPhone. Syncs with anything, and the in-yer-face flipping tile means it's hard to miss anything.
I was disappointed to lose it when I moved to iPhone.
I went you the dark side a couple months ago to a Motorola X Pure. Customized it to my liking on Motorola's site with a leather backing.
They have 2. Probably will try the plus version. Reviews are mixed with not that many recent ones.

Yes, the Plus version is what I had.
It's better than anything I've yet seen on iOS - currently using Sunrise - and I'd swap back to Chronos in a heartbeat if that App was available on iOS.
Good luck with WinPhone. I still have a fondness for it, but it still doesn't have the bulk of Apps. I may return if Surface phone gains traction.
Q5 Black
Downloaded the trial. Very nice calendar, but still don't know how to import from my outlook calendar. I know I am missing something .
I will keep learning the phone because some day I may need it. But my trusty Z30 is so EASY!!!

It's been a while, but IIRC you set up your Outlook to publish/push your calender... which you then subscribe to in your chosen calender app.
So, most of the changes are at the Outlook end.
Sorry I can't be more help, it was something I setup a couple of years ago and I don't have the phone anymore.
Handover my Z30 to my wife and using Sony Experia Z5. But missing the peak and flow of BlackBerry hub

Q10 for all things work and comms. Z30 sim free for couch time. My world is perfect.

The interesting thing is. This AM I was notified of an OS update. So I did it.
Previously when I invited myself to an appointment from my Z30, the email came in with no attachment so I couldn't put it on the calendar. (no problem on iPad or PC).
Now, suddenly, the attachments appear, I can accept the invitation, and it appears on the calendar!!!!! If I can figure out how to import all the old appointments I'm golden.
Thanks for your input.

While I've left WinPhone, my son has just bought a 950. He says he gets updates quite often so I'd like to think that means the OS is only going to get better.
Eventually for me, the crunch-point was the app situation. It's definitely getting better, and is better supported than BB10 ever was but it's a pale shadow of the Android/iOS appstores. If they can gain some traction, and attract more developers, I'd come back to WinPhone as I really liked the tile-based UI and even the cheap versions I got for the car are fast enough for use.
There's a setting in Chronos to choose the time window for which it pulls in calendar entries. I think the default retrieval is "future only"... set it to retrieve the past 30-days and see if anything changes. Good luck! :)
I think my problem is that I'm having trouble syncing my Outlook calendar with Outlook.com. It's making me tired.
9000 > Q10 > Z10 >Z30>Z30>
I'm still using a Classic and Q5 black as backup.
There's a plug-in you need to download on your PC - Hotmail communicator (I think). It handles all the synching magic for you (I think again... it's late here!)
Try it tomorrow when you are fresh. Think of it as a glorious experiment! :)
Z30 and hoping to win a Priv or Passport in May!

Thanks, Jeep. I know I'm missing something. I've been using my new Win10 PC as if it was Win 7. I will be signing up at the Microsoft store next month to straighten myself out.
I love my Z30, but want to give the Lumia a chance by learning how to use it properly before I blame the phone.
I never had trouble learning a BlackBerry. Maybe I will if I get a Priv someday. LOL.
