I recently switched to vzw from att but am having problems with service at my location. If it can't be resolved and I go back to att, I can't get the Tour. I don't use the phone for internet other than to check football scores on occasion. If I were to go to the Curve, will there be a noticeable difference in my email and/or internet service?

    Difference in internet speed?
The tour is quicker with EVDO than the 8900 with EDGE but the 8900 has wifi capabilities.

Is the difference in speed considerable? The fact that I rarely use the internet....should this be a major concern for me?

Since you don't use the internet. No, it shouldn't be a factor. If you plan to stream music with apps like pandora or slacker then it could be. It depends on with you'll be using the phone for. I have the 8900 and with wifi I've got all that I need.

Don't use it for music at all so it will probably be alright if I need to go back. Thanks for the input.

If vzw isn't good where you live and att is better you should definitely go with att. Good luck.

If you have to switch back to AT&T and can wait, the 9700 will be out soon. It will be a lot faster than the 8900 and not that much bigger.
