    Was just thinking. I have a popular channel and what if I could get companies to advertise their products on it. Not in a way that it possess off my subscribers though.
    Can't I make money from this? From the companies paying to advertise their products?

    That's an interesting idea for you to make money but your subscribers would all leave....rather quickly, I'm afraid. They didn't even want to advertising BlackBerry instituted......

    I think it's possible
    People already makes money from fb fanpages. First, they presell users with tips/news eg: diet tips. Then on some occassion, they recommend diet product. Users buy the product.. boom u make money

    Most likely content based ads will eventually show up in Channels.... But it will be for BlackBerry's benefit.

    The only caveat I could possibly foresee is that you would naturally have a contract with these "Mad Men" to post their ads a specific number of times, at probably specific (peak viewer traffic) times of the day, for a specific duration of time like 3-6-9 months, and even possibly much longer to gain traction. I don't have to tell you that BlackBerry is known to drop support for certain apps and functions within apps. BBM ain't going nowhere; however, who knows how long channels will last if they don't monetize it themselves other than stickers? Heaven forbid that channels don't work out and you're liable for breach of contract. It's a tough situation to plan ahead and make guarantees on someone else's grift.
