I added an email address that both online and on the blackberry thing says the email added successfully. When you login and check what email addresses are set up this email address shows up. However, the mailbox icon for the email is not showing up on my phone. If it says its working but no icon and no way to check on the phone what does that mean?

Try re-sending the service books. And make sure "show all" is on on your BB.
