Just purchased a new Classic to add to the existing Z30 and 2 Q5. Nice phone by the way. So after autoloading the OS, it's time to add your email accounts. I also have an Outlook account w/2FA that would not install using the current password. I received this message on my alternate email from the MS bot stating that I needed an app password. After reading the instructions - I followed the directions and logged in from a PC and also using Authomator for the 2FA.

To make a long story short - if you want to add an existing Outlook account with 2FA - DO NOT USE your current password.

*** Log in to your account with a PC
*** Go to your security page
*** Select more securiy options

Choose create new app Password. Outlook will generate a one time password.
Use this password to add your Outlook account to your BB10 phone.

This worked like a charm for me.

By the way the server address I used is eas.outlook.com and port 443.

Thanks for sharing the info.
And I've tried on both my personal outlook account and company account as well.
The method works perfectly on personal account but company one. The security page would not recognize my company account.
Should anybody who successfully set on company / school account on Q20, please please let me know.

I agree that this works on personal Outlook accounts. I am not using any Microsoft corporate and/or educational services. You may want to contact your IT resources that you may have available at your workplace.
