- Rumors say the 9900 became the 9800 so I would imagine any 9930 will now have become a 9830 and would be a CDMA Torch. Since ATT helped develop the phone, it may be a while (if ever) that you see a CDMA twin to the 9800. Something similar, maybe. Just too much up in the air at the moment.

BlackBerry Device Roundup: 9830 And 9930 On The Horizon From RIM? | GizmoFusion
It suggests the 9830 will be a storm 3 (not to be confused with the storm refresh 2.5). On phonearena they call the 9930 a bold so I'd guess they're different phones.

There is going to be a 9930 called the Bold
It will come out of the box with os 6
It is a "torch like device"
And it will be available for purchase "before the launch of the new year"

Posted from my CrackBerry at wapforums.crackberry.com09-16-10 01:17 AMLike 0 - Interesting. Nice to come to cb today and hear something about a new phone headed Verizon's way. The Torch on Verizon might make me consider ditching the Tour if it is LTE ready.
I am really wondering why RIM is being so quiet. With so many other smartphone options out there you have to be constantly making "noise" to stay relevant. Maybe RIM should take a page from Apple's playbook and leave a 4g bb on a subway right next to a tech blogger or something...09-16-10 08:41 AMLike 0 - ===== QUOTE Cariw91 ====

lol, i'm with ya... that means in like 3 months, we may have it...I can wait three months...just gonna keep replacing my faulty tours in the meantime. Definately not going to use my upgrade for a Bold just yet, unless it is confirmed that the Torch isn't coming. I definately want a phone that will support OS6 though soon...so, hopefully it will be the 9930...positive thoughts, positive thoughts, positive thoughts.

Posted from my CrackBerry at wapforums.crackberry.com09-22-10 06:50 PMLike 0 - I ran into Dan Hesse about a week ago, He said that there would be a new device in October, said it was not like a torch, but wouldn't give me much more info than that.09-22-10 11:48 PMLike 0
- I am like this close to getting the TMobile G2 for my birthday next week. The word is out to my kids but I am really torn about leaving BB for Android. I really love the form factor of the G2 and was hoping that BB was coming out with a side slider, processor and internal memory similar to the G2 with OS 6. I would jump on that like a heart beat. Someone posted earlier as to why RIM is being so quite, I agree. A clam shell (nice) or a beefed up bold is nice but not enough to keep me using my BB as a primary phone. I will take my 8900 and replace my work BB 8310. What is really disturbing is that none of my kids want my 8900 and their ages range from 9, 14, 17, 20, 26, 28, 30. Maybe the 14 year old because he is desperate, the 9 year old doesn't count because he isn't getting one anyway. lol I would love the Torch but I don't think it really compares to the G2. Someone talk some reason into me, is there hope in waiting for a real flagship BB to take the lead?

Okay, I've got an issue with this. Its got the model number: 9930 the carrier: sprint and the fact that its a slider all in one add for a car charger.
My questions are where did he get them from and where's his proof they're for the 9930. Who's buying them and why do they want something for the 9930. He's got 99% ratings with a crapton of purchases.Last edited by Cariw91; 10-21-10 at 05:03 PM.

So far he's told me that it looks like rim has released the sale of 9930 items because it was supposed to be released later this year but the play book has taken over. Rim has already dismissed the style. The play book will be out before Christmas and the Bold 9930 will be out later this year.
As I said references will be posted later tonight when I get my hands on them.
Edit: turns out he has no proof of this it was speculation based on the good information but it is not available to the public.

10-21-10 06:18 PMLike 0 - I'm not sure how someone from paypal would know anything about RIM's unreleased products? If a 9930 was coming out this year I'm sure we would've heard something about it by now.10-21-10 11:42 PMLike 0
