What's the difference between the 9780 and 9700? other than the OS that is?

i'm looking to upgrade my 8900, and was waiting for a torch equivalent on tmobile (but started to lose hope)

i mean why should i buy a 9780 rather than a cheaper 9700 and perform an upgrade myself?

The 9780 Bold has substantial hardware upgrades over the 9700. Internal memory can not be field upgraded.
