I just recently started having this issue.
1. If i call my BB from any other phone (cell, home, etc...) it will ring on the dialing end but on the receiving end nothing.
2. The only way i know if i got a call is if someone leaves me a VM.
3. I can make outgoing calls.
4. I receive emails, SMS messages, and VM
5. I have updated the BB software and am running V4.2.1.106

Does anyone else have any thoughts on this matter.

Is your ring tone turned on?

yes the ringtones are turned on.

What sort of signal indicator do you see - 1x, 1X, 1XEV....

the phone worked yesterday and i havent' added any themes or change any other setting either. The phone calls just ring but nothing on the bb itself.

You may need to re-provision it. I believe with Verizon you just dial *228, but I'm not 100% sure if this will work.

I work with a lot of Sprint devices and have come across devices that were working fine and suddenly went to 1xev. I just redid the provisioning and that fixed it.

*228 had done that earlier this morning and no go.
Must a wide spread i have had 15-30 of my friends with the same issue.

You may have ringtones turned but make sure you don't have the PROFILE set to silent.

Also, with the BB powered on, pull the battery and remove, replace and reboot the BB.

You have 15-30 friends all with Verizon?

The profile is not set to silent. Did the battery and reboot no go. Called Verizon and the unit needs to be replaced.
