- The trackball would not track left so I put a very small amount of saliva ( I admit it) on my finger to clean the ball. It worked but now the light goes on intermittently. What can - do to fix it??? Thank you. Ps. I bought the curve from someone on ebay and it is supposedly barely used.

- There is an ambient light sensor on your BB. It is located where the LED light is. If you are in a room that is lit well enough then the keypad does not light. Try covering up the LED status light with your finger for a couple of seconds. Your keypad and trackball light should come on.
As far as the trackball not tracking left. You may have already fixed it. It's a lot like the old computer mice, they pick up dirt, lint, oil from your hands. Best thing is to always have clean hands when using your phone. I take mine out occasionally and spray some canned air inside. If it does become a problem though you can order a new trackball assembly from www.cnn.cnLast edited by cian232; 10-26-08 at 09:20 PM.
