Hello, I don't have a blackberry yet but want to get one... the only thing holding me back is I've only had flip phones for 10 years except for once, and I hated the non-flip.

Well I just heard about the 8220 and 8210 flip blackberries so that's perfect... I see that in Canada, the 8220 is available through Rogers, but I can't find who the 8210 is or will be offered by, and when. Does anyone know?

thanks! from a hopefully soon-to-be BB newbie!

(PS sorry if this question has been asked before but I did a search & couldn't find anything...)

Darn... I read some stuff online about an 8210 as well as an 8220 but I guess it wasn't true.

I can't switch to Rogers for the 8220 as I live in a rural area and we don't get good reception from Rogers out here. Thanks for the replies anyway!

Where do you live?? I travel across Canada for work (via car, plane & train) and have never had no service for longer than 10 mins with Rogers....

It's true- Rogers' service in rural areas (especially in the Ottawa valley!) BLOWS! My mom can only get reception if she stands on the roof beside the lightning rod (don't ask how we found this out...). But she just has a little pay as you go phone so she only really needs reception if she's NOT in the rural area. When I go home I go through withdrawl...no service for days unended!

Yeah but their UMA sounds so overpriced though...

So I just noticed that on this very forum, one of the avatar options is a picture of the flip BB, labeled "8210" (the model number I'm being told does not exist). Is this a typo for 8120? Or am I losing my mind?
