Just got my first Blackberry on Friday! I like it alot, but I'm having problems finding a definitive answer to a question about the GPS. The question is: is it possible to get any version of Google Maps to work with GPS on the 8130 on the Telus network? I know that there is BB Maps, but I really like Google Maps that I used on my old WinMo phone.

If it is not possible, is there anything that can be done to speed up the satellite aquisition time in BB Maps? It currently takes about 6-8 minutes to get a signal...outside with clear skies.

    Thanks.

You can get a satallite signal? Wow, marvelous. I can't even get one period. Clear skies and being outside. Is there really no way for the blackberry to use the cell towers? US Cellular's navigation program on the samsung delve was so great.. and when I finally upgrade to a Blackberry... IT SUCKS.
