    I'm reading the book Losing The Signal. On prologue page 2 it mentions the 4 dots and the. BlackBerry network.

    What do the 4 dots mean again?

    Could be signifying the Signal Strength - 5 is the highest :-)

    It's the logo, and when it appears in the top right of the screen it means you are connected to BlackBerry services.

    I know this well as the defective BlackBerry I bough on ebay would not connect and show these dots, essentially making it a crippled berry. No BBM without those dots.
