I got tired of waiting and upgraded with a link I found here somewhere. It's awesome. I had no problem finding the vendor file. I did have an issue receiving email after the upgrade, but I did a battery pull and all is well. It is very cool, well worth the trouble.

I'm still not seeing the OS 4.5 update for my Curve. Is this available and if so, where might I be able to find it???

I am not an expert and I don't play one in the movies but you can find it at the blackberry site.It is not under AT&T cause they are not supporting it.M

You will be able to get it when it come out. Just choose your device from the list and it will take you to the page to download 4.5 when it comes out.

i went to your link and entered my device (curve8310 red, with att) its october 10th and the release was 23rd of september how come it still only shows 4.2 os? thanks

Yes, they do need to release it. Maybe they are waiting to launch a whole slew of new models and upgraded OS's at once. My wife wants this new "AT&T supported" 4.5 OS NOW. Any news on this front?...............................(cickets).... ..........

Just load the 4.5 OS from another carrier. There is going to be nothing different with the OS that At&t releases. All OS's are designed specifically for that device. One vendor.xml filed is deleted, its the same for every carrier. Just look at the forum for your device and a 4.5 OS will be stickied on top.

AT&T SUCKS (!!!) wrt releasing updates to OSes. They did the same crap when it came to releasing WM6.1 for the blackjack. And I entered the BB world only to have them pull the same crap with 4.5 :-)

Do what others have said and just download it for another vendor, delete the vendor.xml file and you're off and running. I have been running 4.5.0.81 stable and nice no thanks to AT&T
