I've never used 3g or wifi but I hear if you have broadband or something and you're using wifi, its faster than 3g. I could be wrong though

3G on GSM (if it's HSDPA)is quoted at 3.6mbps. 3G on CDMA RevA is 2.2mbps

    Wifi A/B/G/N are all faster.

Even the slower Wifi B is 11mbps.

    Current productio models:

    Wi-Fi Enabled 802.11 a/b/g

    Bold
    Curve 8320
    BB 8820

    Wi-Fi Enabled 802.11 b/g

    Pearl 8120
    Pearl 8220

As far as I know Wi-Fi is reliant upon hardware as well as software so the phone must have the hardware capable of supporting the Wi-Fi. For phones, including BB's, that do not natively support Wi-Fi you can sometimes find aftermarket hardware to connect to the device and provide the connectivity.

    Spectec Computer Co., Ltd.

But I think that type of application would be at best awkward with the way the Curves accept microSD cards.

Wifi is faster because the server response time is not a factor (instant) but with 3G networks (not instant).
