Wow it's amazing BB keeps improving the OS, while you still get to use the BB10 phone you already bought! If you own an Iphone you have to buy a new version phone in order to get new features. I guess that's why Apple makes so much money because of their sucker fans. Unfortunately BB being the nice guy ends up being last! And I'm not saying this to bash on BB, just wish they would have more success.

pretty sure that is not true at all. The iphone 4 got many of the new features that iOS 7 brought to the table. Apple is actually one of the best in backwards compatibility IMO

I like the changes to the camera app. I always thought having 2 menu buttons kinda confusing for the average user.

I don't like the change to the keyboard though. It seems very windows phone or android like. I liked having the very rigid divisions of the keys and the visual silver fret across the screen.
Also don't like the change to remove the grey gradient backing for the icons. Personally, that made it seem like I have a very big space to click on, whereas the new absence of the grey backing makes it look like a very small icon. But to each their own since I know there were a lot of people who didn't like it. Hopefully it's an option to customize.

Looks like toast notifications or phone usage is kind of being implemented as seen in the "face down for power save" settings screen.


Something also tells me this is an older version of the OS. At the very least 2-3 weeks since the facebook app and foursquare app is not updated. As mentioned in another thread, the new facebook icon has less gradient and is more of a solid blue. (Similar flatter design to the foursquare app as well)

Looks alright. Nice to see some of the things customer's asked for are being implemented. I saw nothing about the old calls screen so I guess there is little to no hope on ever seeing it again.

With regards to the camera app I really hope we can still tap anywhere on the screen to take a pic.

Not a fan at all of the red. I like the new features, but really like the blue that BlackBerry 10 currently uses. I also like the design of the current keyboard. I'm worried that it'll look too much like iOS 7 (which I don't like).

Am I the only one that thinks that BlackBerry 10 is beautiful already? I don't find it outdated whatsoever.

I really like it. It feels a little more distinctive than the current OS, while not being a radical departure from what we've become used to. Having said that, as someone's already said, we do have to keep in mind that this is a very early build and some of this may not make its way out into the final OS - remember the squircle anyone? (Which, by the way, I still think they should bring back)

I can not stand that keyboard, i understand it's early so things will change but i think it's unwise to mess with they keyboard. bb10 has the best keyboard on the market and people know that, even if they hate bb. i think to change the aesthetics means people wont be able to recognize it anymore. i think it's important bb distinguish themselves from the competition especially here.

OS version is in the low triple digits, so this is embryonic 10.3. 10.3.0.140 itself has been known about for at least a month, so BlackBerry is well past this.

Perhaps. But I'll take this over another "my carrier rep/boss/friends slapped my books out of my hands, gave me a wedge, called me names, and took my lunch money because I use a BlackBerry" thread, any day.

I have Windows XP on my desktop but I recent installed TurboTax. The icon was flat and bright. Everyone is just moving towards Microsoft's design aesthetic because of Windows 8 and use less processing power.

I want to see smaller more tightly packed. Icon layout. Instead of the 4 horizontal and 4 vertical on the Z10 i'd like to see 5 to 5. Also this is a very early build looking at the facebook icon.

Probably not...but anyone notice the time? the p.m. Is lower case with the periods. My phone users uppercase with no "." is this based on location? New OS design? Or photo shop?
