I have a 1 missed call icon on my home screen and do not have a missed call. It has been on there for weeks. This has also happened to someone I work with. Has anyone else heard of this or know how to clear it out. I have tried removing the battery and that does not work. Thanks.

trying going into the (missed) call in your call list and opening it up and/or view history. this may mark it as opened rather than missed.

If that doesn't do it here are threads providing other advice:

Hmm. There is a similar thread on this issue. Are you using a third party theme? Some of them have been known to have stuck indicator issues. Also, you can go into your SMS inbox, select View Folder>Phone Call Logs, and that will list all your phone calls, not just what is displayed on your call log.

Remove your battery while the device is ON, wait a minute and re-insert...

I'm having the same problem. I have a post under "missed calls". Maybe someone can help us. I have tried clearing everything and pulled the battery several times with no success. Maybe it's a glitch?

Have you checked the messages folder? (Not the SMS/Inbox as that was already suggested) "Messages" is where the missed calls go and will stay on the home screen if not opened.

Scroll over any icon, hit menu button and select "show all"...

Try calling yourself from another phone and letting it go to missed calls, then check your call log and see if the indicator goes away.

I know that works for the Voicemail cassette icon, if it won't go away...

The count went to two, then I checked the call log and it went back to one. Thanks though.

    battery pull solves the issue.

if it does not, update the os.
This is not - repeat, NOT - good advice.
