BlackBerry 10 has a zip function when you want to send files, can anyone tell me, when you zip files doesn't it compress them. For example if I want to send multiple pictures I select them and choose the zip option, but the zipped file is the same size as all of the individual files put together and I can't email them because it says file too large. Am u wrong in assuming zipped files should be smaller?

I'm no expert but if the pictures are already compressed then I doubt they will be much smaller if they are zipped.

If the pictures are jpegs, they are compressed already, so zipping a bunch of them into a single zip file will not save any space.
