Want to stay with the physical keyboard but do other QWERTY lovers out there feel they may be missing out by going for the x10?
I like most here can not afford to just go out and buy the 2 handsets sim free.

I think i'm leaning towards the Z10, just because the software keyboard looks really good. We havn't really seen much on the X10, I mean we know what it looks like (probably) but I need to see someone playing with the OS on an X10 for me to really make a decision.
My preference is the Z10, but there is already a thread on this topic.

I cant afford both for sure. Probably gonna go for the Z10, the new keyboard look sick.
probably more than 1 thread about this.
Think there's a few but i didn't notice as they were titled L series or N series, pretty much known now as X10 and Z10... until the 30th anyhow....
every time I think I wanna get the Z10 I always end up going back to thinking no I want the X10 , I have had a curve for almost 3 years, yes the extra screen would be nice but I do not play games or watch movies on the phone , to purchase for that reason is stupid imo , I actually wanna see the real X10 in action on Wednesday, I am pretty sure that unless it is a total bust as in the peek and flow not really looking good on the screen size or if the screen size is not at least 3.1 inches then it will be the X10

Well there is a few threads on this and i will say this that i would get a Z10 as i am use to onboard keyboards by now since 2011 when i jumped from bold 9000 to a iphone 3gs. then a iphone 4 (not 4s). then to my phone now Samsung Galaxy s3.
I don't really miss the physical keyboard as i got so use to it, but i don't miss it.
I am going to buy the full touch device and see if I like it or not. I've always had a phone with a QWERTY keyboard - time to see if touch keyboard is my thing or not!
Will definitely miss blazing through downtown Toronto and not having to look down to type a message. :( If I don't like it, I'll switch back to keyboard when my contract expires!
I'm stuck in this dilemma as well what to do z10 or x10 i think only time will tell let's see more of these products. but ill tell you one thing I will not buy either phones until I am able to physically try them out then brainstorm witch one I want. I love my qwerty hard to let go
Quite the pickle... honestly, I'd prefer the X10 since anything I'd want to do with the Z10 happens on my PlayBook. 'Seems like a natural combination to pair a physical keyboard phone with the touchscreen tablet.
But if the X10 won't be out for a while, I feel like I should help support their initial new-hardware launch and contribute to good sales numbers. The fact that I'm doing this buy buying what appears to be a quality product makes it not such a bad call, in my opinion.
So Z10 if the X is significantly delayed. X10 if it's to folllow shortly after the Z. Whenever either of those might be. Unless a new slider is officially announced...
Yes. Quite the pickle.
Unless there are any major surprises in design, I will go Z10 .
I've been using touchscreen almost exclusively for a few months now so my transition should be easy. And I didn't like the design of the X10.

As much as I love the QWERTY keyboard, I'm leaning toward the Z10, mainly because the trackpad is half the beauty of the 'traditional' BB, and it looks like the X10 won't have one. So may as well just go all touch and see how it flies.
You will LOVE touchscreen.:p

Z10. I can take a slight drop in my wpm when typing in exchange for the utility of a larger screen.
I love a physical keyboard. However, I'm willing to give the full touch BlackBerry a try.
I hope that we can try out the Z10 in the store without some salesmen hovering. I would be mainly interested in the digital KB. I already know what the X10 will be like typing because I have a 9900. Here I would be looking at whether the extra screen suits the new O/S . Does it take advantage of the O/S and is it a major step up in my user experience on a small screen.
There is at least one poster here who uses a Curve. You are in luck because what ever you buy will be a huge upgrade. My wish for RIM would be for them to have a separate store display for the new BB10's from all of the android phones just like Apple does. They have to make BB10 special.
My one regret here will be that they should have made the X10 handset better than the 9900. The 9900 is a fine phone but a little wider and taller would have allowed for a 3.5 inch screen which to me should be a smart phone minimum. Regardless, if the X10 is a great phone, I don't see the need for a slider.
I don't know what RIM should do with the Curve ( in North America & Europe ). Truly I don't see how the Curve fits in with RIM's need to move up market with premium phones .
My 9900 is my daily driver but I'm picking up a Z10 for me. I've been using my SG3 this week just in preparation for "the next biggest thing".
I'm going to get the z10 as I've got a feeling it's RIMs flagship and will get all the attention. Not just from rim for the updates but also from app developers.
Some interesting points and opinions... I'm just not sure i want to give up the KB, that being said i haven't tried the new touch screen KB on offer from RIM, they are the masters of the KB so by all accounts they have probably pulled a blinder on the z10.
Like everyone else i think i am going to have to try them both... it's all to do with timing and patience though....
Full touch, gotta get with the times, the future is now!!
It depends if and when the BB10 OS gets ported to the PlayBook. If it's soon, then I might consider the x10 because I'll have access to a big touch screen for movies and games. Most likely I'll get the z10 though.
