No offense to anyone promoting or using a 3rd party sms app... but alot of us are expecting BlackBerry 10 to compete as an OS/mobile platform. Sms is basics to cellphones.
i dont want to fix the isses together myself with apps (especially if cost) ... if i wanted that i would have stayed on Android.

Yes, I noticed that too. I'm searching the internet now, looking for a way to stop it!!! If you have learned how to stop it, please share!

To be able to group text you must download group sender free or group sender for $1.99. The free version only allows for 6 people in a group. The full version does not limit you or at least I did not hit the limit. If your service does not allow for MMS you have to set up cell numbers, with the appropriate suffix from your service provider. You can then send text under the guise of an email. That was the only way I could make it happen. Group Sender works well once you set it up.

Ya. Sending multi send text should be easier. Like the one to delete email, "select more" then just click away then send.

Can you explain how to create groups? What OS is required? What carrier?

Totally understand. But it is common with IOS environment where you need to download a third party app for functions that are available on other platforms. Not just a BB thing.

Anyone else notice that when you do get a reply from someone in a group text message, any other text messages that you have received from that person show up as unread as well? Is that just me?
Initially I did but after updates (prior to 10.2) it was fixed. I honestly have not had any issues with group texts. But yes, BB should have kept all of the features that we loved in the OS7 and rolled them over to the Z10.

I've been having this issue since I switched to T-Mobile. It's a problem I'm seeing on my Classic, but my Q10 on Verizon always had this prompt. Verizon / AT&T apparently handle the switch between SMS / MMS much better.

The only way I can properly involve myself in group texts are if I set my text message settings to ALWAYS send MMS. It's a bad workaround. I hope something is resolved on this eventually between BlackBerry and T-Mobile. It doesn't help that their relationship is nearly non-existent now.
