I have a Curve 8530 and Youtube is basically unusable on it: most videos freeze every few seconds (with the message "Buffering"), even when there is no moving video content (only a static image).

I've disabled Java scripts and images but that doesn't make much of a difference: videos still freeze all the time.

Do you have any suggestions on how to make Youtube run more quickly, short of buying a better model?

    Thanks

Are you using it on WiFi or the mobile network?

Just to note: YouTube was acting up for me for the past few days while they were doing maintenance on their servers. Even on WiFi I was getting some buffering issues, but now videos are playing fine.

I'm using the mobile network (Verizon).

The problem goes back a lot longer than the past few days -- I think this has been happening as long as I've had my BB.
