Initially, because it was cool (in 2007 it really was!)

Then became accustomed to it for work (government contracts), plus it being a Canadian company it remains a mainstay of the feds here even in 2015

Then software (I thought QNX had a lot of good ideas vs iOS in 2011, and the transition to BB10 felt natural. The Playbook was useful for something)

Nowadays it's mainly the keyboard

Hardware for me initially back in the BB7 days. BlackBerry just looks the part. Very business minded and ergonomic. Now with BB10 it's both. I can't imagine ever using for finding any so amazing as my Q10 and I have both the Q and Z. I use my Q10 80 percent of the time and Z when I feel I want to type on glass

Other than the z10, which I thought was a perfect piece of hardware in its time, I have not particularly enjoyed any of BlackBerry's hardware....my love is all software.
