9000 form factor with 9700 or better functions.

    The 9700 is almost perfect.
    - full querty keyboard
    - email/messaging, reliable email push
    - turn by turn navigation
    - runs productivity apps like Docs2Go flawlessly
    - has WiFi and 3G

The only lack in the 9700 would be the browser. But the new 9780 has an improved browser AND runs OS6, so my perfect device (regarding functionality) would till date be the 9780.

Having said that, I would still prefer all the 9780 functions in a 9000 housing. OS6, despite the browser, is not of great interest to me though, since OS5 supports all functions that I need.

So the 9700 or 9780 it is.

Right now it's the 9000. In the future the 9800 or a 9000 form factor with a touchscreen.

    My Perfect Blackberry would be
    Height: 118mm
    Width: 70mm
    Depth: 12mm
    Weight: 150 grams
I would have the Keyboard of the 9000 slightly wider, seeing as I've added 4mm to the width, but I would make the key height slightly lower by to give more screen real estate. with trackpad,
I would mount 2 Camera's a 5MP rear facing and 3.2MP front facing camera with a flash on the 5MP.

VGA Display 640x480 pixels, touch screen

    Dual-band: 800/1900 MHz CDMA/EVDO REVA network
    Tri-band 3G HSDPA networks: 2100MHz/1900MHz/850MHz
Tri-band UMTS networks: 2100/1900/850/800 MHz and 2100/1700/900 MHz
    Quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE networks: 850/900/1800/1900MHz
    802.11b/g/n enabled

I would like 2 LED indicator lights with multiple colours so that there can be further customization of what notification you are receiving.

I would like 2 MicroSD card slots, one internal, one external for hot swapping.

I would like 2 Batteries running 1 at a time, so that you can swap out a battery and it still would be running. so that you can actually keep working while swapping out battery's when in areas you can't be plugged in and you are draining the battery

I'd like the back of the phone to be built with a dark brushed chrome or aluminum backing so it has a little bit of weight to it and feels solid.

That is just the hardware side of it, I could go on FAR more if I was to go into what I want out of the OS, and accompanying apps

I second that as long as OS6 brings a new browser and better camera performance.

96XX form factor + touch screen, 5MP rear/3MP front cameras, double battery life, 32GB on-board memory, OS6, Sprint 4G, and no more BIS email - give me a real POP/IMAP integration that doesn't truncate email and gives me IMAP folders. It's not necessary with 3G, and completely pointless with 4G.

Wish we could store apps on card as well...bout it!
    And ditto to this!

    Ooohhhh, dreamland!

It would be the Storm form factor but with a larger (3.75 inch would be nice I think) high res screen. It would still have SurePress, but it would be much improved so that it actually works correctly ALL the time...lol. It would have a 1+ GHz processor with LTE and world phone 3G capabilities. There would also be 2 GB of app memory, 16 GB of onboard media storage, and a micro SD slot. Camera would be no less than 3 MP and no more than 5MP, but would have improved optics. Let's see...two front facing music/ringer speakers (stereo), bottom placement of the charging port, and at least a 2000 mAh battery standard, even if it means the phone has to be a couple mm thicker. Finally, HDMI output, a usable web browser, non truncated email, and better built-in device/app locking abilities.

I'm sure I forgot some things, but that is a start.

Hi guys, first time poster unfortunately my first bberry experience was the storm lol so not that,I actually sent that back and cancelled the contract, but now I work for orange I needed a work phone and I jumped back on board and went for my 9700 which is what I'm posting off now,and its absolutely awesome. My perfect bberry would be the 9700 housing with 5mp camera cuz hey,I don't blow pictures up any larger so 5mp is ample, snapdragon or a bberry optimised equivalent for the processor although I think I only say that as a 'would be nice to have' feature as my bold isn't slow at all. To be honest I think my bold is actually nye on perfect for me,some extra frilly bits would be cool (no pun intended) but for functionality it works for me.
Oh and the presenter...woop woop. Rant finished
