    Hi Guys,

    I was wondering if you guys can help me by giving me some advice. Which messenger works better for Blackberry. Yahoo Messanger or Google Talk ( gtalk). I am looking foward to your assistance. Thank You and appreciate your advice.

    Unless you have the 8320, I'd suggest you get JiveTalk! It will take care of all your needs...

    Apparently you can't use Y! on ATT. Will JiveTalk bypass that and your Y friends be accessible?

    I use Jivetalk on my Curve and Y Messenger works just fine.

    folks, pls confirm if JiveTalk really works on the BlackBerry 8320 (T-mo Curve).. i checked out the beejive website and i could not find any list of supported BlackBerry smartphones.. it just says: JiveTalk� for BlackBerry� 1.0.2

    If I am using the 8800 with ATT with the Unlimited plan there should not be any wory about additional charges using Yahoo IM.

    Dumb question but don't the IM programs use your monthly texts? That is why I have stuck with emails or BB Messenger since I only have 1500 to send or receive from people not with AT&T.

    True IMs do use text but - Jivetalk uses data only.

    Sidenote, why do people keep saying that Y! doesnt work on AT&T? It works just fine.

    They do have a link to beejive.com/release_notes.txt on their support page:

    though I have not tried it myself.
