that's interesting. Take a look at this vid. If ms is working on this then it's a true game changer. I hope it happens soon. A windows phone that can do this will be my next device after my se passport.

    I like the concept.

That said, it's another dumb move by HP: lose-lose.

If it tanks, then, yeah. . .

But if it succeeds, MSFT blows it out the water with a Surface phone, having used HP as their *****.

No thanks, my idea of a phone does not include having to buy virus software for it.....got rid of my Windows PC in 2010 and never looked back...

I'm good with Apple and Blackberry.

You don't need antivirus software for Windows Phone, I don't think there is any for it anyway.

I've had an HP laptop for a year now and I've dropped it, manhandled it, and it's still good.

If you're talking about their low end of course it's going to be crap.

Their premium lines, the Envy and Spectres are nice.

FWIW you would not have to buy any anti-virus software as it comes with Microsoft Security Essentials and Defender which is just as effective as any other product out there (Norton, McAfee etc).

I hav a hp laptop for 4-5 years now, a core i5. I haven't had any issues on it as of yet. Except for a screen change, as it was hit buy a shoe that was meant to hit someone else.

I love the looks and specs of the HP Elite X3, but I'd choose the Lumia 950 XL over it. That said, I'd choose the X3 over the Acer Liquid Jade Primo.

I had to look the phone up.

    It looks like a BOSS.

I haven't even played with a Windows 10 phone but my understanding from others is that they have a buttery smooth UI, play well with Windows 10, and don't require as much battery and spec as android phones... sounds like a BlackBerry to me.

BUT I'm pretty dependant on BlackBerry everything and apparently you have to spend a few hundred more to get a PKB (which is the size of a laptop) so while I wish Microsoft luck, I may have to pass.

I haven't seen anything yet that puts my Priv in a drawer.

That Priv will probably stay with you for a long time... :-)
