    Perhaps Google should rethink their app business. On Android they can provide their apps for free but on other platforms you pay for it. I would easily pay upwards of $20 for a well supported Google Maps.

    Absolutely not. Everyone gets it for free. Their business model is through advertisement, etc. For various reasons, I would never. It's a con.

    I would probably pay for Google Maps. Other than that, I can't think of any others I would pay for.

    True their business model is advertisement but for an application like Google Maps how much revenue do they acquire from advertising versus effort put in. Its incredible to me how much time and energy Google has put into Google Maps. I've seen Google Cars in the most bizarre places. A couple of bucks is not much for a superior product IMO.

    I would pay a couple of bucks for Google maps if i had a problem with BlackBerry maps. I guess I don't travel enough! Lol.

    But I wouldn't pay $20.

    You have no idea how much information Google gathered when they mapped everything out, and how much they make off of repackaging that data and selling it. They most definitely are not a charity.

    I need Google Voice. I wouldn't mind paying a nominal fee because it's important to me, but may not be for others.

    The problem is that #2 is needed before #1 can be even thought of...
