The main thing you really need to ask yourself is do you want a touchscreen phone, or one with a physical keyboard?

I love my Storm, but you need to go play with the two devices and see which one you like the best. That why they make so many different phones...everybody has their own preference.

I would have to agree the 9700 seems to be the superior device. Especially cause im not a big touch screen fan.

Since you probably got use to physical keyboard on the Curve then it is likely that you will find it more comfortable using the bold rather than the storm. Personally, i find the Bold's keypad to be much better designed than the curve.

I have the 9700, but if I could have gotton an unlocked Storm 2 on my carrier to run 3G, I'd be using a Storm right now.

I preferred the bigger screen & touch.

Agreed with all in here...depends on how you're gonna use the device.

For me personally, I MUST have a physical keyboard. I am texting/emailing on my BB all day long. I would be absolutely miserable having to do that w/o a physical keyboard. Tho I do like the touchscreen, for me that should only be an option and not the end all...plus I'm sort of a neatfreak and due to constant "smudgefactor" I think that a 100% touchscreen device would just keep me up at night twitching...lol

But the great news is that the Bold 2 and the Storm 2 are both great devices and you'll most likely love whichever you get!
