This is my 2nd phone with a full key board. Looking at some of the other phones and some BB out there. Would you ever buy a phone without a full key board? I know I wouldn't.

    NO WAY!
I would not be able to type on a phone that does not have a full keyboard.

Sure if I didn't want to email or text from the phone, I would not have problem with having a non QWERTY phone. I still have a few non smartphones that I use for camping and hiking.

The full keyboard is a must. T9/touch screen don't cut it. I need physical keys! Also, I will be a BB person for life.

Nope. I had a BB 8700 and then I went iPhone. I've now got a BB 8320. While I love me some iPhone and the touch-screen interface, I just do not like the on-screen keyboard; I gotta have a full keyboard.

I'm watching the Palm Pre like a hawk. I'm also keeping my ear to the ground for the touch-screen/keyboarded BB (the Magnum?)

My first experience with the Curve (back in December) was not a good one due to technical problems so going back to my Pearl after 2 weeks was easy.

I bought another Curve in early April. This weekend I tried the Pearl again to see how it went - it did not go well and I would not go back to a non-qwerty phone.

My wife uses an Alias and loves the qwerty. She talks about a BB but thinks the Curve is too big.

I couldn't do it, and I don't do a lot of texting and e-mailing. I need keys, suretype or not.

I did. I went from an enV to a Pearl.
It wasn't a difficult transition, but it took a bit of getting used to.

Before I got my Curve, I had an enV and eversince I got the enV I knew I wouldn't be able to go back to a phone without a full keyboard.

I text a good bit sometimes and can't stand having to push a button 3 or 4 times just to choose one letter.

Never can live without the key board, i hear a lot of people say they need a bigger screen but i would give up the screen for the keyboard. if you need a big screen log onto a computer.

not in this lifetime. a full keyboard is a must now that I've swapped and always complained about having to press numbers so many times for a letter to come up and then wait a few seconds if you wanted to press that same letter again so you could go through the whole rigoramarole again.

I do miss a keyboard, but I adapt very well. Typing speed has never been an issue for me.

I've only had a full QWERTY keyboard since I got the Helio Ocean about 2 years ago. I then went to the BB Pearl 8130 and got used to that, then went to the BB Curve 8330m. I love the keyboard on the Curve but I wish the keys were a little bit bigger. I could never go back to T9 on the number keys though.

I think I've had a qwerty for the past 2 years or so but recently got a bb. I love the full keyboard. It makes txting a breeze!

But it is a little obnoxious when people think you're a freak because you can text lightening fast without looking at the phone :/ That was the case with my enV & Voyager but not quite with the curve! I still miss buttons sometimes.

I could never again go without a full keyboard.

OTOH, I used the use Palm PDAs back when smartphones were young, so I'm no stranger to touchscreens.

I'm really looking forward to Magnum (Treo style, sans stylus) but my favorite form factor is side-sliders a-la Tilt or Wing. Full touchscreen and full QWERTY. I would say G1, except I hate that the keyboard is boxed in.

I have really big hands. The pad of one thumb completely covers half of my 8900s keyboard, so a larger keyboard would definately be a plus for me.
