just wondering what would be the response if RIM ventured into PCs.
I voted no, but how about can it run Linux or any other OS? Windoze is not a choice for me.
i did. it's called a playbook ;)
Yes,
Because a RIM made PC would Bridge to my BlackBerry,
a RIM made PC would have a touch screen and gestures like my PlayBook
a RIM made PC would have a carefully crafted Keyboard, and the features of typing I've learned to expect on my BlackBerry would be available such as hold for CAP
I believe the PlayBook can perform like that already, add a keyboad, mouse and monitor and you got yourself a computer more or less.
You've read my mind. If the made it I'll buy it +1000000
Nope. I'd rather just use their smartphones.
Really? I thought you used an iphone.
with at RIM maded-OS i would.
Yes. I posted a thread like this awhile back. I like the idea of an ecosystem that works nicely together ... Unfortunately, I dislike Apple's implementation of this. Loving the playbook and 9930 so I would assume the DeskBerry would work just as well!

I do. I didn't say I was using a RIM device right now, just that I would rather use their smartphones and not a computer made by them.
I will own a BBX device.
I'm really not sure about this one here. The playbook is along way from a pc. I don't know much about the PB, can it run warez that's not java based? I'm not saying no or yes. I'm saying it would have to beable to run the warez I run. I process a lot of video. Bluray etc, that takes a heavy cpu load. I don't think Rims BBx or qnx is any where near this level yet.
