From the 8330? I would say YES!!! I went from the 8330 to the 8530 (similar spec jump) and the experience is like Day and Night.
Then you have the advantage of a nicer keyboard.
I went from 8330 to a storm2...never looked back. And I loved my curve...but the large screen, speed and the surepress keyboard are awesome. Try an s2 unless of course you don't like touch screens.

Yeah, don't get another trackball when the trackpad is out!
if possible get a new models with trackpad...ive used blackberrys for 3 years now...came from a tour...loved it...trackball never had issues...got the bold 9650 now...night and day between trackball and trackpad
I still can't help but think the 9650 is the phone the Tour should have been. I simply cannot understand why the 8530 has a track pad and the Tour didn't. Or why the 8530 had wifi, and the Tour didn't. Or the lack of RAM, knowing the browser needed serious upgrade. All of that said, it seems to me the 9650 is really last year's phone, or at least what SHOULD have been last year's phone.
It's hard to come out of pocket $200 with a two year contract knowing 4G phones are less than a year away. Heck, if I had Sprint, I could get an Evo now....
I would say get a Tour just because I have one and could not be happier. I haven't had any issues with trackballs or the OS. I haven't had a smartphone that was this trouble free since my 8330. I actually prefer the trackball over the trackpad. I know that others have differing opinions. But that is my preference. The Tour is a great smartphone. And you could probably get one cheap now that it is at the end of its shelf life.
