I'm thinking of upgrading my curve 9520 to a bold 9780 (white). Is it worth the extra cash? Thanks xx:)

Get the 9900, it'll be worth that cash and the wait.
At this point do not waste your upgrade on the 9780. The new BB line is around the corner.
I have the 9780 and love it. I use it for email, texting, calls, and Facebook. I had an old curve a couple of years ago and went to android. I came back after having that for a year because i didn't think android was all its cracked up to be. I guess what im saying is, it was a good phone to get me back into blackberry again. Im so glad to be back!!!
oh yea do it.even us martians are holly jolly with the 9780 in our planet.
Definitely wait for the 9900
I would wait but that's just me.

Any BlackBerry is worth it! Have you looked into the Bold 99xx?
Aside from that, yes, that is a very wise upgrade :)
Personally I would wait. How long have you had the curve for? I'm sure you can wait 2 more months for a phone that will put the 9780 to shame. Not that the 9780 is a bad device but the 9900 will be in a whole different ballpark as far as specs and features go!

Yes. 9780 is a sweet device. who waits when they want.
I love my 9780, but I'll be upgrading to the 9900 the first day it comes out.
If it was me, I would wait for the 9900.
Wait's the word here, I just entered the BB world with a used Pearl Flip 8220, I'm still in shock, my 1st smartphone!
I would wait for the 9900 but the 9780 is a great Blackberry device also.
I think all of these people asking about buying a blackberry now will be SO disappointed when the new ones come out. But if you're new to BB you just don't know. I avoided BB for years because of bad advice from a relative
RIM servers go down all the time and you will be out of service"
RIM servers get hacked into all the time
You have to pay a BB service fee on top of your cell phone bill (not with Sprint)
So it was a catastrophic event that made me look into BB, and the model I went with was the curve 8530. I LOVE my curve, but had I known about the Bold at the time, I probably would have gone with that. I also called myself doing the proper research but for some reason I thought the curve was a lot newer than it actually was -- not that that has mattered a lot except for a very slow browser.
I still say hands down BB's are WAY more efficient than Androids (I've had one. amd tried several recently on the 30-day plan). While Android is getting better and better, its' still no match for doing what I need it to do: efficient email, calendar, and contact apps.
I just don't get why people keep asking if they should wait or not.... the answer is wait- they are coming out with 7 new BBs in the following months, the next one launching within the NEXT month.
Christ all mighty read the news.
I just don't see the need to rush and upgrade. When my Curve 8320 trackball broke, I just went back to the old reliable 8707. Then when the 9780 came out, I finally upgraded. For me, that's the beauty of Blackberry. The email and useability is always there even for older models. Sure, the 8707 had no camera or Facebook, etc., but that stuff is quite secondary.
I recently went on vacation, and my girlfriend's iPhone suddenly shut down and required iTunes on a computer to recover. We had no computer with us, so she was stuck with no phone for most of the trip. Blackberry is awesome.
