    i get kinda nervous whenever I sell a blackberry..dont want anything thats personal to stay on my phone. so when you do the swipe...is everything out of there? anyway some geek can retrieve what was there?

    Everything is wiped from the device and set to factory settings!

    Keep in mind that digital information can always be retrieved from any device that has ROM memory or a hard drive such as a computer, cell phone, etc... It isn't as easy to retrieve it, you need to be top of the line tech and need special software, but it can always be done...

    A security wipe removes all your personal information with no possibility of recovery. It does not touch your Media Card. Be sure to format the card if you are selling it with the BlackBerry. And, for the buyer's sake, contact your carrier and release your pin.
