I guess I'll hang in there and wait, assuming BB10 ever sees the light of day; RIM as we know it maybe history before the year is out imo. When/if BB10 comes out I'm there. I've owned a droid and have used many other droid and iphones (my son is a phone geek) and none of them work for me. Besides my 9930 is only a month old and it serves my needs well.

I've been out of contract for over a year now, and I will wait and see. Google is still Google, Apple is still Apple...and I trust both faaaar less than I do RIM, even with this latest foolishness they've pulled.

There are a few here that haven't upgraded to a BB7 phone waiting for BB10. My 9800 is really showing its age and I will probably blow my upgrade on a 9900. Not a complete loss, but damn...I can't keep waiting and I REALLY don't like the Iphone or the Android phone. So, I'll just get a BB10 phone this time next year..."if they're launched". I would have checked "getting a BB7 phone now and waiting."

I'm so upset I'm not even going to vote...
This is really a sad situation. When and IF the BB10 comes out the Hardware will be over a year old! In the tech world that is obsolete.
I still have my 9810 and 9900 and will continue to use them until they fall apart, but now I don't think I will upgrade to a BB10 with such old hardware on it.
Such a shame to see this company go down, as it has had the best security with their data.... Now excuse me, I need a drink or three.

9800 is dying, screen doesn't go on when sliding up to access the keyboard, but works as long as I don't slide the phone. Able to upgrade, but unsure whether to wait for bb10 or just upgrade to 9810 or go to Samsung Galaxy s3. Any input?

I'm not going to wait any longer for something that will probably be delayed again and even if it doesn't get delayed it will be old technology by the time it is released.

Been out of contract for almost a year now. Need to get a good package with US roaming and I was waiting for the L model. RIM just gave me the incentive to move on.

Let's face it, anyone who thinks BB10 is coming, even in the first half of next year, is dillusional. There's something else going on that we're not privy to. You think Thor doesn't know that another delay announcement isn't a death sentence?

My upgrade's due in late 2013 so I'm in no hurry as long as my carrier still has BB phones by then. Even if BB eventually dies this decade, if BB10 is everything as promised I would be happy rolling with a RIM product for one last life cycle. Once you find something that really works and organizes your life it's hard to switch out of it... it's for that reason there are still WebOS users.

So with BlackBerry 10 being delayed until 'Q1 2013' and the BlackBerry 10 Physical Keyboard Phone probably being delayed even longer will you wait or jump ship to another OS?

Right now, we are waiting for the funeral. Watching the demise of RIM is like watching a puppy die. The two founders of RIM were totally clueless. How tragic.

The 9810 will be cheaper, but lower specced and not as many apps. Which would be more suitable to your requirements?

Oh yeah, and it'll be easier to set everything up on the 9810 (kind of important if you've spent a lot in app world), but not as fun as playing with a new gadget :

My game plan is still the same; waiting for BB10. Get a 9930 if my current BB dies. Go to Windows Phone if RIM dies.
