People my battery has begin to drain way too fast. (that's 15 - 18 percent drainage per hour).
I m thinking to perform a security wipe to delete all third party apps.
Question: will my Service Books be lost if I perform a Security Wipe of "User Installed Apps"?
    Device is 8520 OS 5.
    Thanx.

Why not just reload the OS or wipe/reload? Either way yes the service books are removed but get resent as soon as you connect to the network again.

What if I do a backup of my SBs and restore them after a wipe. Will that happen? Wouldn't I need to reload the whole OS?
See I don't have a BES/BIS so I have found a workaround to open appworld, otas and internet, and that's the reason I m stressing on Service Books.

Do a SB back up on BBDM, problem solved. Yes, I know it works since I'm in the same situation as the op
