    It is in the top 5 best selling phones, and it would seem stupid not to. Does anyone think there's a chance? Or is there a hack available that could let the pearl flip software work on the pearl?

    What new software are you referring to? If you go to the BB download site, Alltel recently released OS 4.5.0.160. Or are you referring to something else?

    OP you mean 4.6 software or 5.0? 4.6 won't be coming to the 81XX and with the pearl flip so laggy on 4.6 i can't imagine the 81XX and 82XX running it.

    I don't think you will ever see a hack for the Pearl Flip OS on the Pearl. Pearl Flip uses 4.6 where the Pearl uses 4.5

    I have been w8ing only because for the life of me i cant seem to ge any other op. sytem on phone or comp. It wont let me find or open the file to delete vender xml.file i hope they make up there minds or at least upgrade Telus's 4.5.0.77 that would be nice...

    This is where I think Apple is smart. Release 1 phone in 3 years and just needs to update 1 OS and all 3 generations can use the same OS. Talking about saving money for Apple!

    Nope, they are discouraged from viewing sites like this, part of their employment contracts. Even Mike Lazaridis is not allowed to have the test stuff, just in case he spills something.
