I recently got a new job ia big Canadian city in the west. As a work phone, I had to choose either an iPhone model or a BlackBerry. I decided to order a Passport.

First, my boss pop by my office :
- do you really want a BlackBerry ?
- yes, they are great phones, I have one for my personal use.

Then an email from the admin assistant:
- are you sure you want a blackberry, everybody here uses an iPhone. Please confirm.
- yes, I really want a BlackBerry

Then an email between my boss and his boss:
- does he really want a blackberry ?
- yes, he's a wild man...

Can't wait to get my hands on the beast!

That is awesome. My husband was recently given the iPhone6 for the on call phone to be used by his team. Day one, his employee had carried the phone in his shirt pocket cause he did not want to bend it by carrying it in his pants. The phone fell out and was badly damaged. Looked like it fell from a 10 foot drop. My husband told the phone rep that he does not want another Apple product and would even take a dumphone over the iPhone.

I have been telling him about the Passport and sent him the drop test video. Crossing fingers.

So far, the few colleagues that have seen the Passport seem genuinely interested, some of them making very positive comments.

The interesting discussion I had was with my IT department today. I called them to request blend to be installed on my computer. Unfortunately, it's not yet available, but the person told me not to worry because "we are seeing lots of passports coming and you're not the first one to request it. It should be available soon."

Apparently, the passport got lots of people interested in the corporate world...

A few month ago, I talked about the surprise of my colleagues when I requested a BBRY Passport as a work phone. Fast forward to today, where one of them just got his work Iphone stolen in a car break-in. Guess what he replaced his iphone with?

Yes, you read it right. He now has a Passport in his hands as well. I'm no longer the 'wild man'...

1. Do you use the Passport as both personal and work device or did you keep your personal BlackBerry?
2. If your answer is you only have 1 device, do you use Balance?
3. Is your company using BES10 or 12?
4. Did you show off all the features such as Blend, remote access, etc?

1- both. I have a Z30 that I got before getting the passport. I always carry both of them and use them both. I probably use the PP more though

3- I'm not sure, I would guess BES10

4- nope, but I did show how much faster I could respond to emails, and that was enough to impress people The Hub is pretty impressive as well.
