I just got my new bold 9700 for xmas and i love it, just have a question about wifi, what is it? and does it cost money to download? I have the $15 minimum data plan for the web, if i get wifi what would happen would i just use both? any help is appreciated, thank you!
One: WI-FI is part of your blackberry's hardware, go to Manage Connections and select the Wifi box to turn it on, then Set Up Wi-Fi. Select a wireless hotspot such as from yours or somebody elses router, then it will connect.
Two: Wi-Fi is FREE, but not all hotspots are, such as paid hotspots by some coffee shops, restaurants, subway/transit stations and airports.
Three: You do not need to download wi-fi.
