Yep, I have no data plan and am on the Wi-Fi right now. I have the 4.5 OS, but I used to browse the web with the 4.2 too the OS doesn't matter, so feel free to use which ever OS you desire

If the wireless network is secured, then you will be prompted to enter the security key associated with that network.
Remember, the passphrase for the security key is case-sensitive.
Ummm, Sunkast is right, my guess is that you are trying to piggyback on another network, most people use a secured network so that people like you can not piggyback on their network. You need to find an UNSECURED network. Hope that helps.
OMG not to be rude man, but are you stupid, no one on CB will be able to help you with this. Click the link that sunkast gave you and read all the info there. Sorry but you are asking stupid questions
Who's wifi network are you trying to connect to?
Is it a public wifi network?
Is it a wifi network you have set up?
Please answer all three questions. You never did answer me when I asked how old you are.
im 20 and i have never played with wifi before...
when i scan for networks i only get 2 secured ones.... I don't know whos networks im tryign to connect to/.... only 2 available idk if they r public but they r secured.... idk i didnt do
As crackvegas said, you are SOL. If the networks were public, they would be unsecured. You have no business attempting to connect to a secure network that you do not have permission to. Are you Amish or something? I don't understand how someone your age would have no clue about technology such as wifi.
You should read the links below. I hope you can understand them.
