    Theoretically - I have ATT Uverse. TMobile cell.

    I should be able to get my Wifi service. Login and connect. No problem.

    At that point, I should be able to theoretically turn off antenna and make calls, get texts, hook to internet, over the Wifi, correct?

    You don't need any special service for your phone to make use of WiFi. Just change your connection to WiFi only. It'll work.

    Make sure you are using hotspot browser for Wi-Fi.
