On my bold 9700 I have wifi set up and turned on. It will show that I am connected to a network (at the top of the screen it says the name), but the wifi icon is not lit up and I am really not connected. That, or I will connect, the icon will light up, then I'll lose my connection after a few minutes but it will still say I'm connected at the top.

I had the same problems for a while shortly after I got my phone. I'm not exactly certain how, but whatever the problem was finally worked itself out. I know I did several battery pulls. What brand of router do you have?

I don't know. This is in multiple locations, my house, my school, cafes, etc.

Yeah, now that you mention it mine had problems everywhere also. I'm trying to remember if I did anything specific, but I think it just worked itself out. How long have you had your BB for?

I had the same problem, and called T-Mobile's support for help. They told me to reboot my router (Linksys WRT150N). I really didn't see how that would make a difference since everything else in my house was working just fine, but did it anyway, and that actually worked.

Glad to be helpful. You might find you're having to do this every so often. If i recall correctly, It has something to do with the router's ability to consistently transport UMA traffic.
