I am a student at UNC and i have registered with the school's internet but when i try to connect it says it cant find the IP address. is that a problem with the phone and if so, has anybody had this problem or does anybody have a solution?

I would contact your college help desk and see if they have an idea as to why. It's straight forward with a blackberry. Find a network and connect. Nothing to really set. I suspect that the network you are trying to connect to may be incompatible.

Undoubltedly, the wifi at your school has some level of security. whether it's a wep key or wpa password. Find out what that is and you will have to enter that info through wifi options when setting up your bb wifi conneciton

AT&T does support the 8820 model with Wifi, your profile list the 8830 World Editon which does not support Wifi.

Are you trying to log on to your host with your Internet Browser?
