Yea it's not really worth having a smartphone if you can't really use it. Unlimited data plans SAVE you money, unless you use your bb just to text and talk.

i think id **** a brick. no joke.
When I first got my Berry I thought the data plan was high, and I wasnt sure if I wanted to keep the phone and pay for the plan. Well a year later and I would pay double if I had to, I have really become addicted to my Berry and dont know how I went without it for so many years.
I dont know how much I use per month because my bill doesnt have tht info but am glad I dont have to worry abt usage with an unlimited plan :D
IMO..if you have a BB, a unlimited data plan is MANDATORY!!!
It's only $30 a month for the unlimited data plan from AT&T...well worth it, IMHO...those MBs add up quickly.
I'm glad we finally have that plan with bell mobility here in canada...its only 5 days into the new billing cycle and I"m already at 19mbs, Im not sure why but I must be keeping busy...last month I used 60! thank god for unlimited!
Unlimited is the way to go, no worries. BlackBerries burn through data like no tomorrow, so if you are thinking about getting one definitley go unlimited and save yourself the trouble...:)
I dont have data unlimited but ........I do have text and minutes unlimited.....I just dont need the data when I am at work everyday infront of a computer.
I did however get the email for 9.99 as a trial and I think that all I will need in addition to the text and minutes....maybe if I wasnt sitting infront of a computer 5 days a week I would take it...
I, too, sit in front of a computer 8 hours a day, but I still use all kinds of data! I can't imagine not having unlimited data!!! I would be lost!
Don't you have to have a bb plan also, with a data plan and cell phone plan?
I took the unlimited because I had no idea if 50 Mb would be enough. I planned not be a heavy user, but have found that it is pretty easy to be addicted and use quite of bit of data. Rather play it safe than to have to call and complain about a big bill. Oh, since I enjoy the maps while I am on the train to locate where I am at when I am lazy, that in itself eats the data. Get the unlimited and sleep easy at night not knowing if you went over your plan.
perfect, that answered my question. I have the unlimited everything for voice/text, and i know they forced me to add the data plan, so i was wondering if it was unlimited too. :) thanks!
I completely agree. I didn't have a data plan when I first got my bb and you can't do ANYTHING with it! Once you get the data plan, the bb's true power is revealed! Great post.

I started my BB with unlimited everything because I heard of all the horror stories.
I've never had an unlimited txt plan. I pay for 500 txt messages/month, and I've never used even close to that number. (obviously not a txt fanatic) But I do appreciate having an unlimited data plan. Even at $30. Now if I could just find a good weather program.
Here for a BB you are FORCED to get an unlimited data plan. I use a
fair bit of data and would be shot if I had a mega bill.
I have unlimited so I dont even look at it.
great post. i fully agree. unlimited data, is a must
Great post and your exactly right
I'm Glad I dont have to worry about data usage. Unlimited everything ROCKS!
This is a great post. There are people every single day on here that want to know if they'll need data or who don't want to get data. I just don't understand why anyone would get a phone and not get data? That's like buying a Lambourghini and only using it to listen to the radio - you gotta get out and DRIVE it!
Simply Everything Plan. Love it!
I'm at a summer camp right now, and unlike others didn't have a laptop. The blackberry is my connection to the internet.

I agree with the OP. Unlimited data comes in very handy, along with saving a lot of money.
