Something I've been wondering: 3G is available all over Europe and Asia on the 2100MHz band. Most 3G providers worldwide use this band. Why is it that the North American providers require two different bands to operate (800MHz and 1900MHz for AT&T and Rogers, I believe, and 1700MHZ and 2100MHz for T-Mobile USA)?
