Well, iphone came out after youtube was created... blackberry has been around for years. They have no need to make flashy apps to grab the consumers attention
Look, I'm as big of a BB fan/user as the next guy, but the above sounds way too much like the Iphone/Apple Fanboy type websites where they swarm those with legitimate questions about a lacking feature in a device with smug and snarky commentary. The whole work vs entertained thing?
How about both. Don't give me your pre-tested snark; my question is serious and BB should make an application as simple as the google search bar for other things ... like youtube.
1st I am one of the least fanboyish people you will find on this site.
It wasn't meant to be snarky, it was meant to be an explanation
That is what you asked for.
The devices are designed for two different types of users with
two separate sets of needs in a phone. Multimedia on most
current BlackBerries are mostly an afterthought.
Thank you to those who posted a helpful response to my inquiry. I'm installing the youtube launcher.
To the others: whatever. BB is indeed, more of a work phone (I agree), but every single BB internal report suggests a movement toward taking part of the Iphone/multimedia market, so I strongly disagree with the BB vs. IPhone split some of you so gleefully respond with to downplay a potential BB negative.
I love the You Tube link, but I hate how, in the full screen mode, videos only show up in the center and more than half of my screen is blackspace. Is there anyway to stretch the video to the whole screen?
