Why so many? Look at apple and Samsung or even HTC.

Well the Z10 was produced a year before BB10 was released so it as well as the Q10 are getting to the tail end of their life cycles. Z30 and Classic are the next evolution of these devices. Passport is a niche device. Q5 and Z3 are strategic low-cost options for certain markets. Sounds like a lot of phones, but remember that BB is trying to establish niches in specific enterprise markets, and the one-phone-fits-all concept doesn't work as well in enterprise as it does in the consumer markets that Apple dominate.

Well the Z3 and the Q5 should cover the low end markets. The Q10 and Z10 would cover the mid tier. The Z30 and the Passport would be considered high end. Classic I feel is more for the 7 os users to switch to 10.

    The way I see it

BlackBerry classic: all the fans of the belt, mouse, etc.
Passport: fans of qwerty keyboard with big screen, corps, etc
    Z3: fans of low price

I'm hoping a new flagship 16:9 comes out this year or early next year.

Depends on whether Samsung scientists have patented a bunch of Galaxies or not.

In all seriousness, OP has probably never seen the Galaxies Samsung pumped to Asian markets

I don't expect all these to be in production simultaneously. I would expect that the z3, classic, and passport will be second generation BB10 devices with the Q and Z10/30 series ending production. This would coincide with the announcement that 2015 is the end of the line for first generation BB10.

This topic most be a joke. HTC, Sony and Samsung mass manufacture. They have a new phone every 3 months... HTC has slowed down little bit, with new strategy, but they can't produce that much longer, because all their phone looks similar... BlackBerry can at least make 2-3 types of phones... with physical keyboard, full-touch, with belt... the competitors can only make full-touch.

    LOL, OP..

Why don't you compare between platform.

    Ios7 vs bb10 vs android.

    How many are there?

Not as many on Apple side. Iphone 4s, 5 and 5s.

    On BlackBerry. Z10, Q10, Q5, Z30, Z3.
    Classic and Passport (coming soon).

    Android?
Hundreds or maybe thousands considering other unknown manufacturer of android phones in China and other countries.

You have got to be kidding me with this thread. LOL.

I say we hear about Sammy's flagship phone every year, but there's always some low end phone in other parts of the world being pumped out.

BlackBerry has a different audience to cater to when it comes to physical keyboard vs. full touch vs. tool belt.

There's some phones going and more coming. At least we have new products to swoon over.
