    "Button on the side"

Found a box of retired soldiers, one of them being a Curve (model? ) and seeing the buttons on the left and right of the device. It took me a moment to remember their name. "Convince Keys". For me, it was camera on the left and BBM on the right.

Sorry for going off track so I'll end with this. I'm OCD, bad, but they can put the power button on my Passport any place they would like. I don't see me ever shutting it down. My active duty infantry boys have always been deployed. And that's how it will remain.

I feel that when the power button is on the side (either side) it's just asking to be accidentally pushed.
I also prefer the power button on top. I frequently press the volume buttons by accident when I pick up my phone, so if the power button where on the sides I believe I would accidentally press it too.

Same here. I activate voice control sometimes too when taking my phone out of my pocket.

Power button on the top sucks. Impossible to reach comfortably.

Big fan of the right side "lock" buttons on the BBOS7

The 2 OS7 phones I know, the 9900 and the 9810 have it both on top. Not on the side

You are correct I believe. Maybe it's been so long since I had one of those. I may just have been mistaken for the convince key which allowed your phone to lock?

Power buttons need to be on the side. Phones are getting too big that a button on the top is hard to reach for most people. Make phones as easy to use as possible I say.

For bigger/larger phone it is difficult to reach top for one hand operation. Therefore, they place it on side.
For me I don't use power button often. I can always wake up my phone without pressing any button.

Do you need to include comments about OCD in your post? What purpose does that serve?

Thanks for the information regarding batteries, makes absolute sense from an engineering perspective but also as a user the convenience of spare batteries as a traveler is useful also a lot easier to fix battery issues.

Your comments regarding the button are insightful but still don't offer much to me in regards to the my points made about conflict of having too many buttons in one place and also creating design inconsistencies across the brand.

Classy all day everyday yo. Lol also relax sarcasm is a bliss. Anyway also consider the following the buttons on ergonomically the power button on top makes it a hella of a lot easier by both lefties and righties to control their device. Rather than to favor one particular biological group.
