Why not put the power saving slider at 100% if you prefer so.

I personally don't think Power Saving Mode does a lot, because on my Z10, what I see are:

Lowest Brightness
Turn off GPS
Turn off mobile data
Limit Max CPU performance

And a few others.

Basically, the only one that would improve your battery life without compromising functionality would be lowest brightness all the time, limiting max CPU performance won't do much unless you're playing AAA games all the time (which may make the game achieve lower FPS), because usual apps don't consume that much CPU anyway

Idk about z10 but on passport the limot cpu thing works.

I don't lose functionality and it feels more fluid as lot of times the cpu is faster than the os.

As example, when going into hub the animation loads but for 1/4 s you can't type. This syncs the time, it is slower by that 1/4s but w.e

Ooening settings takes .3s longer device manager .4s but everything else is fine. It feels like how a blackberry should be.

I even have power saving turned on, on my note 3 where it's even bigger dif.

The OS puts a threshold on CPU. If the task at hand doesn't require the amount of work exceeding the threshold you won't see an improvement

What if you just like the color on device manager?

Also, there's no trickster mod on BlackBerry but on android it shows cpu spikes to 2.3ghz a lotOn seemingly 'light' tasks.

I get better battery, with no real speed difference. My battery will be worse than many due to bad coverage in my area.

Definitely. If dual core z30 is enough to run bb10 well we don't need quad on all time.

I am more than happy with it, feels smoother with it on and it is back to blackberry goodness with one exception.

Still waiting for replacement battery to put my mind at ease.

The GPU is weaker, that's why you can see some lag in the "swipe to minimize" animations... :-)
