As the title states, why are there no BB10 devices current, or future, with the Qi wireless charging standard?

All of my WP devices had it, and now it seems I have numerous charging stations doing nothing except powering alarm clocks and media players.

This is 2014, right?

It's weird because initially, the Z30 was registered as a Qi compatible device via one of Qi's subsidiary websites if I'm not mistaken.

The only Z30 model with Qi wireless charging is the Verizon model (STA100-3), which I proudly own!

BlackBerry is part of the consortium of companies working to establish the Qi wireless charging standard.

There IS a BlackBerry that uses Qi wireless charging. The Z30 is listed as compatible, however they have kept it exclusive to the STA100-3 variant used by Verizon.

I was disappointed when I heard that and it seems pointless for BlackBerry to have done that when so many other Z30 variants are being used primarily outside of the US anyway. I hope it's included more universally with future devices.
