Because BB does have their own support forum, and they dont have an app for that installed. While I love the CB10 app, and think it is an excellent demonstration of the new platform, it isnt sanctioned by BB/RIM really (even though we do get visits from employees hah)

Because, as has been mentioned before, the community over here, while helpful in the large, is not the best way to sell the BlackBerry experience to new customers.

New users from other OSes coming here asking 'Why isn't app X Y or Z available?' would get insta flamed and told they're stupid for wanting something no one really needs anyway.

I don't think BlackBerry wants their image tainted in that way.

BB's image is tainted anyway, and it's impossible for CB to make it worse.

With CB's knowledge base and community available, at least people will be able to figure out those gesture and battery saving tips much faster

itd be classed as unnecessary bloatware by people who dont use or want forums factory installed on their phone and by negative reviewers looking for an excuse to put down the new OS, plus those that do may prefer to use tapatalk and have all their forums in one place

Not really. Some people say some apps suck battery.
    Others deny it.
Some say their battery lasts days on end. Others say it goes out in 4 hours.
Some people say push and sync is better than ever.
Others say it's worse than ever at the moment.

This is a forum for discussion but not definitive in any way.

Ya right. If BlackBerry offered a glass of secure water for $650, most people here would buy it....it's embarrassing

The services may not be, but the apps themselves are. Unless I missed something obvious... those apps were built in house at BBRY.

What's truly embarrassing is the lengths some people will go to just to insinuate that security isn't important, and they're somehow nuts because they're not lining up to give away their personal lives to ever-more slick marketing and ever-less innovative substance.

4.6lbs of lateral pressure without tipping over?! Sign me up for a case! (I think I can afford it with that bonus check.)
