I just noticed this while signing up for the BB App Store. I took my battery out and checked behind it, but no IMEI and I also went to Options>Status and still no IMEI.
If I understand this right, the CDMA Curve doesn't have an IMEI because it doesn't have GSM radios. The equivalent for this is the ESN number. World phones (Like the Storm or 8830) on the other hand have an IMEI number because they have GSM radios onboard.

I have an VZW Curve 8330.
Is this only a VZW thing not to have an IMEI?
Nope up here all CDMA curves on Telus, Bell and MTS mobility have ESN's
there are 3 kinds of serial numbers used in phones. ESN's, IMEI's and MEID (Meid basically replaced ESN's)
That is odd did u buy this phone new
Or was it a refurbished unit?
It isn't odd and it does not matter the method of purchase. The phone is
straight CDMA, and unlike the Storm or World Edition it does not have a SIM
Card slot and therefore will not have an IMEI.

Signing up for the BB App store didn't required the IMEI. That was optional. I do have it but I didn't bother to put it there.
