    it seems that whenever I reboot or add a new contact that 5 or 6 contacts suddenly appear on with favorites even though I have not flagged them as favorites

    How strange, doesn't happen for me Passport (unlocked original) with latest OS updates.

    Which phone and OS are you using? BBOS, BB10, Android?
